  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 01 June 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00181

That the Parliament welcomes the launch of the Centre for Energy Transition (CET) at the University of Aberdeen; understands that CET will harness the University’s capacity across research, innovation and skills development and work with local communities, the energy industry and governments to contribute to a sustainable and just energy transition; recognises that this latest achievement comes shortly after Aberdeen was named as one of the top 60 universities in the world in terms of having a positive impact on society by The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, and wishes the team at CET success in helping the North East embrace the opportunities that lie ahead in a low carbon future.
