Welcoming the Phased Reopening of the Bridge Centre in Haddington

  • Submitted by: Craig Hoy, South Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 26 May 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00143

That the Parliament welcomes the phased reopening of the Bridge Centre in Haddington; notes that the centre, operated by the Lamp of Lothian Trust, is used by over 40 organisations including the Lammermuir Larder, The Motorcycle Project and mother and toddler groups; further notes and welcomes that the trust has made the centre's courtyard available to the neighbouring Tyneside Tavern, allowing a local business to maintain trade during COVID-19 restrictions, and thanks the Friends of the Lamp and Trusts for their combined efforts to support the centre and the local groups and individuals in Haddington and East Lothian which use it.
