  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 16 March 2021
  • Motion reference: S5M-24386

That the Parliament commends what it sees as the remarkable achievement of Angus Hilsley, Jack Johnstone and John Carlisle, who are from Dumfries and Galloway, in successfully completing the 4x4x48 hour challenge, which is an idea that was initiated by the United States' Navy SEAL, David Goggins; notes that this saw the three adventurers running and climbing while carrying 25 kg backpacks to raise money for Poppyscotland, the Bone Cancer Research Trust and the agriculture sector charity, RSABI; recognises the valuable role and work carried out by these organisations; encourages others to follow suit in helping them financially through these difficult times, and wishes them, and Angus, Jack and John, well.
