That the Parliament welcomes the publication of the community-led research paper, Together We Help: Learning from social action during the pandemic, which illustrates the powerful role of communities in responding to the COVID-19 crisis; notes that this was commissioned as part of the Social Action Inquiry by Carnegie UK Trust, Corra Foundation, SCVO, Royal Society of Edinburgh, The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland, Foundation Scotland and The Robertson Trust, and acknowledges the report’s recommendations and the contribution it believes that they will make to shaping a society in which communities have the power to make a difference, supported by action to address the underlying causes of poverty and inequality.
