Musselburgh Rugby Club receives £50,000

That the Parliament congratulates Musselburgh Rugby Club on receiving £50,000 from the sportscotland’s Sport Facilities Fund (SFF), which provides funding for projects that create or improve places where people take part in sport and physical activity; understands that this investment will allow the club to upgrade their existing changing facilities, as well as to add a new extension to house a gym and strength and conditioning suite; recognises that the club is making these changes to help make the club more accessible and to allow the club to develop in areas such as disability sport and creating a women and girls’ teams, as well as maintaining a gym which is a great asset to the local top flight rugby effort; congratulates Musselburgh Rugby Club on successfully being selected to receive this funding, and thanks all those involved with the club for their contributions to the local community and for their work improving the accessibility of rugby.
