That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Cot Death Trust, which officially launched its resource, Back to Basics, Back to Baby, on 11 January 2021; understands that this is supported by RoSPA and Mini First Aid and helps explain the importance of keeping a baby's airways clear every sleep time; notes its aim is to reduce the number of tragic sleep-related accidents that happen each year; understands that, in 2019, there were 50 instances where a baby or young child died suddenly; acknowledges that not all infant and toddler deaths can be avoided but that many can; believes that accidental suffocation is preventable, but only when parents, caregivers and professionals who support families-to-be and people with young children and babies are aware of the risks and know how to mitigate them; thanks the Scottish Cot Death Trust for developing this resource for families and the people working with them; believes that it provides valuable information to help save lives, and notes that more information can be found at scottishcotdeathtrust.org/launch/.
