  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 16 December 2020
  • Motion reference: S5M-23729

That the Parliament congratulates CVS Inverclyde (CVSI) on its 25th anniversary; notes that it provides confidential and professional support to community groups and organisations of all sizes and aims, while bringing them together to connect and work collaboratively; acknowledges that the group was initially named Inverclyde Voluntary Sector Forum, when it was launched by Pat Trenaman in 1995, and was renamed CVSI after joining the Council for Voluntary Service in 2001; recognises that CVSI became the third sector interface for Inverclyde in 2011; commends it for its work with other organisations to develop projects, including Our Place Our Future and Volunteer Inverclyde, as well as supporting community wealth building and locality planning and arts development; recognises that CVSI plans to celebrate this milestone through several campaigns, with its first being to search for "25 faces to support" during the anniversary year and in the future; appreciates the efforts of all involved with CVSI to support the people of Inverclyde, and wishes the organisation well for the future.
