Kilwinning Academy Purple Day

That the Parliament congratulate the pupils and staff at Kilwinning Academy on raising funds for charity; understands that the school held a dress-down day for Go Purple Day, which raised £907.50 for Ayrshire Hospice, and a Halloween fancy dress day, which raised £1,190.78 to help the annual poppy appeal; notes that the fundraisers were arranged by Mrs Stuart, who is the Charity Co-ordinator at the school; acknowledges that a cheque has been presented to the Hospice, which is committed to reaching and improving the lives of those affected by life-limiting illness in Ayrshire by delivering exceptional care; thanks all the staff and pupils for their kindness during the ongoing global pandemic, and offers them its best wishes.
