Portlethen Academy Pupils Win Youth Philanthropy Initiative

That the Parliament congratulates Finlay Dyce, Sajan Alawattage and Jack Loundon from Portlethen Academy on winning their school’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative Grand Final; understands that the group, who represented the Living Well Project, emerged victorious by highlighting the project’s befriending service and dementia-friendly cafes across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire; notes that the trio was led by their teachers, Jess Copner and Ian Cunningham, and was awarded the prize of £3,000 for gaining the top spot in the school; acknowledges that letters and statements from celebrities were read out as part of the pupils' final presentation; recognises the hard work and dedication of the pupils and teachers from Portlethen Academy, as well as those from the Living Well Project, and wishes them all well for the future.
