That the Parliament congratulates David Coulter, who was the only recipient of the 8th Dan award from the Scottish Karate Governing Body at the recent Scottish Championships, which were held at Ravenscraig, for his services and dedication to karate over a period of 50 years; acknowledges his exceptional personal success competing in world class competitions, winning three World Team titles and two European and individual titles, and his huge professional contribution to the sport through coaching and training the world karate champion, Pat McCann, the Scottish Karate Team and new participants aged four and upwards, and wishes David and his son, Kris, every success in training the next generation of Scottish athletes who are working towards competing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
