The Park Bar Strikes Gold at Trad Awards

That the Parliament congratulates the Park Bar in Argyle Street, Glasgow, on being named Best Traditional Venue in Scotland at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards; understands that this award represents a significant achievement for a venue that has been a cornerstone of Glasgow’s traditional music scene for decades; notes that the Park Bar, which was established in 1895 and is known for its distinctive green awnings, lively atmosphere and warm Highland and Gaelic welcome, has long been celebrated for its music, dancing and hospitality; recognises the dedication of its staff, musicians and community of supporters who together have kept the spirit of traditional Scottish music thriving within its walls; acknowledges the heartfelt appreciation expressed by the venue to its patrons, performers and wider trad community, and applauds the role that the bar continues to play in promoting Gaelic culture, nurturing young musical talent and providing a home from home for generations of Glaswegians and visitors alike.
