That the Parliament congratulates the recipients of the University of Glasgow’s GRID Civic Grant Fund for empowering young people across Glasgow with new skills, confidence and opportunities; notes, in particular, the Big STEAM Project, which opens doors in science, technology, engineering, arts and maths for young people from marginalised backgrounds; recognises what it sees as the vital role of community-led initiatives in developing career-ready skills, nurturing creativity and building self-belief; acknowledges the dedication of staff and volunteers who guide and inspire these young people, and believes that investing in the next generation through grassroots projects delivers long-term benefits, boosts social mobility, and strengthens the future of Glasgow.
