That the Parliament congratulates East Lothian Libraries on its recognition in the Library Team of the Year category at the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) Awards 2025; notes that the team was praised for its integrated approach across 12 public libraries and seven secondary schools, delivering high-quality services despite budget pressures; acknowledges the wide range of community initiatives that East Lothian Libraries offers, including dementia-friendly groups, digital inclusion sessions, family learning cafés and gardening clubs, as well as efforts made to boost literacy through Reading Schools accreditation and bespoke school library policies; believes that these initiatives have positioned East Lothian Libraries as trusted hubs for learning, wellbeing and resilience, enriching communities and supporting education; commends the creativity and dedication of the library staff in championing inclusion and lifelong learning, and wishes East Lothian Libraries continued success in serving the people of East Lothian.
