Action for Climate and Environment in Newburgh Awarded £4,630 Through the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund

That the Parliament congratulates Action for Climate and Environment in Newburgh on being awarded £4,630 through the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund; understands that the group aims to make Newburgh a wildlife-friendly place that encourages everyone to enjoy nature; notes that the group will install wildlife boxes and planters to provide the focus for a nature trail; further notes that an interpretation board and a bench for the Eider Road Wee Wood will provide an environmentally-friendly and accessible focal point where residents can enjoy the young trees; understands that the group aims to help residents of Newburgh address issues of fuel poverty and the cost of living crisis by providing equipment that will show how well homes are insulated, with the least efficient buildings prioritised for a follow-on project to make Newburgh homes more energy efficient in 2023 and beyond; applauds the efforts of the group, and wishes them well.
