NHS Lanarkshire Wins Award for Creating Greener and Healthier Sites

That the Parliament congratulates NHS Lanarkshire on being awarded the Collaboration – Working in Partnership category at the first ever NHS Scotland Assure Conference; recognises the contributions of everyone involved with the Lanarkshire Green Health Partnership, which aims to create a sustainable future for the benefit of staff, patients and residents; welcomes what it sees as the remarkable achievements of NHS Lanarkshire, including more than 100kg of vegetables being harvested from hospital gardens and donated to food banks; recognises the work done at University Hospital Hairmyres, in East Kilbride, in setting up a food growing site; commends University Hospital Hairmyres and NHS Lanarkshire for their commitment to a green future, and wishes everyone involved in these initiatives all the best for the future.
