That the Parliament congratulates EPIC East Ayrshire Pipe Band Academy students Katyann Thompson, Jai Blackhurst and Melissa Leary on completing their SCQF Level 4 theory and performance exams at the National Piping Centre in Glasgow on 21 October 2022; understands that this is the first level in which they perform on the bagpipes, as opposed to the practice chanter, and take on the more difficult musical idioms of 6/8 march, strathspey and reel, and wishes the three local pipers all the very best for a bright future ahead.
