  • Submitted by: Gordon MacDonald, Edinburgh Pentlands, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 04 October 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06151

That the Parliament congratulates Dads Rock in Edinburgh on celebrating 10 years of improving outcomes for children through providing support to dads and families across Scotland; understands that Dads Rock was founded by Thomas Lynch and David Marshall as a reaction to a lack of services for dads and lack of visibility of dads, with the intention of promoting the importance and self-worth of dads; recognises the numerous positive activities undertaken locally in Edinburgh by Dads Rock, such as outdoor and indoor playgroups, buggy walks through the Meadows, family music lessons at the Sighthill Campus, and other activities, day trips and workshops; congratulates all those who have contributed to the organisation over the years, and wishes them well for continued good work in the future.
