  • Submitted by: Paul Sweeney, Glasgow, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 05 September 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05784

That the Parliament recognises Asda Summerston employee, Eleanor Whitelaw for her act of kindness and compassion; understands that after a customer’s card declined payment, Eleanor allowed them use of her phone to reach out for support and when that call failed, she paid for the customer's shopping herself; praises Eleanor for noticing the distress the situation was causing the customer and her two small children and helping them to calm down by offering help and kindness; celebrates this act of humanity showing that people do care, and believes that indeed, people do make Glasgow.
