NHS Fife's Continued Commitment to the Armed Forces Community

  • Submitted by: David Torrance, Kirkcaldy, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 09 August 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05609

That the Parliament congratulates NHS Fife for its continued commitment to the armed forces community after the renewal of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award; understands that since the scheme’s launch in 2014, the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme aims to encourage employers to support employees who are also part of the armed forces community and to inspire others to do the same; recognises what it sees as NHS Fife’s flexibility around the training commitments of reservists and the support it provides to instructors, veterans, military spouses, and partners, and commends NHS Fife for being awarded the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award for the second time, and for what it considers its unwavering support of employees who are also members of the armed forces community.
