  • Submitted by: Annabelle Ewing, Cowdenbeath, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 27 July 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05507

That the Parliament commends Niall Williams for his determination and effort in fundraising £25,444 for the Fife Health charity; understands that Niall was motivated to do this after being hospitalised for COVID-19, which impacted on his ability to walk, talk and eat; further understands that Niall is improving daily and is back on his feet, which led him to walk 95 miles in 95 days to raise funds for charity; understands that Niall encouraged his friends, family and fellow Scouts to take part in their own 95 Challenge to help raise funds; notes that these funds will be shared between the ICU and the physiotherapy department in the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, along with the Sir George Sharp Unit in Cameron Hospital, Leven where Niall was supported, and wishes Niall all the very best as he continues his recovery from COVID-19.
