Bikes Without Barriers

  • Submitted by: Dean Lockhart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 26 July 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05499

That the Parliament welcomes the adapted cycling pilot programme, Bikes Without Barriers, which is taking place in Stirling City; understands that the programme aims to provide opportunities for adults aged 16 years and over, living with a disability, to participate in cycling; notes that the programme is being delivered by Active Stirling and Forth Valley Disability Sport; further notes that there was a "come and try" session on 5 July 2022, where participants could sign up to a free 12 week programme of weekly cycle sessions, and hopes that everyone involved enjoys these sessions.
