GP Cycles 1,118 miles for Charity

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 04 July 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05272

That the Parliament commends Barry Watt from Huntly, Aberdeenshire, on cycling 1,118 miles from Land’s End to John o’ Groats in just 19 days to raise funds for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA); understands that SCAA is Scotland’s only charity-funded air ambulance service and therefore relies on public support to keep operating; further understands that he has raised £3,700, far exceeding his original target of £1,000 and that his fundraising page will remain open for donations, and believes that he should be incredibly proud of both this physical achievement and his fundraising efforts.
