Black Agnes Festival

That the Parliament praises all involved in organising the successful Black Agnes Festival in Dunbar, which took place on 10 June 2022; notes that the festival takes place annually in memory of Scottish hero, Black Agnes, who it understands kept English invaders at bay for six months in 1338, saving the town of Dunbar; understands that the festival marked the 648th anniversary of the siege of Dunbar; congratulates all recipients of the Black Agnes Award, an award recognising modern women from Dunbar who have made valuable contributions to the community, and wishes every success for the festival in 2023 and beyond.
