  • Submitted by: Bob Doris, Glasgow Maryhill and Springburn, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 10 June 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-04769

That the Parliament congratulates Spire View Housing Association on its award of a £149,000 grant from the National Lottery Medium Grants Scotland: Community Led fund; welcomes that the funding will allow for a continuation of its successful volunteering programme, which includes digital classes taking place at Roystonhill Community Hub that are said to have been of great benefit to the local community; believes that the funding will also allow for further recruitment and support of volunteers in the local area, with the goal of increasing skills and confidence; notes that the three staff members employed as a result of this funding are all local tenants of Spire View and Copperworks housing associations; further notes that the project will involve 800 people and 100 volunteers over three years, and wishes everyone involved in the programme every success.
