That the Parliament welcomes announcements that SaxaVord Spaceport, in Shetland, is to expand provision of dedicated orbital launch services for satellites in the UK from 2023; understands that agreements have been reached with Astra Space Inc to bring forward new launch capacity at the spaceport's site on the island of Unst; recognises the importance of the spaceport to a successful UK space industry in future years, and acknowledges what it sees as the vital role of international collaboration in supporting Scotland's domestic technology sector.
