Ubuntu Scotland Founder Wins Young Scot Award 2022

That the Parliament congratulates Sameeha Rehman on being deemed the winner of the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards 2022, for the category of Enhancing Education; understands that Sameeha founded Ubuntu Scotland, an organisation which provides educational support for children, with an emphasis on children from disadvantaged backgrounds; recognises that Ubuntu Scotland provides workshops in learning areas such as creativity, workplace, finance, mental wellbeing and social interaction; understands that, as well as education, Ubuntu Scotland also holds regular social events bringing together pupils, families and partner organisations in order to support entire families, as well as communities as a whole; praises Ubuntu Scotland for what it sees as its continued important work with young people, communities, and charities, and wishes both Sameeha and Ubuntu Scotland continued success into the future.
