  • Submitted by: Edward Mountain, Highlands and Islands, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 09 March 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-03494

That the Parliament commends Steven Mackay, the former Brora Rangers manager and striker from Invergordon, who is aiming to run the entire North Coast 500 route in just 10 days, whilst raising money for Cash for Kids Charity; understands that hitting this target will require running two full marathons each day, starting on 20 May 2022, with the aim being to raise £50,000 for the charity; further understands that Cash for Kids aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in communities who are affected by poverty, illness or neglect or have additional needs, and wishes Steven well in his preparation of the charity run.
