Lavender Drive Christmas Lights 2021 Raises £23,121 for Charity

That the Parliament congratulates the residents of Lavender Drive, in Newton Mearns, for their festive lights display throughout December 2021 to raise money for charity; commends the local residents for what it sees as their collective efforts to fundraise, by lighting up their homes and gardens, and for the community spirit shown; understands that the lights were put up to spread cheer, and for local resident, Fred Banning, as he continues his cancer treatment; thanks the organisers on Lavender Drive for the hard work and planning that has led to £23,121 being raised for Cancer Research UK; further congratulates the residents for raising £5,500 for the Beatson Cancer Charity with their display in 2020; congratulates all residents for their efforts, and wishes Fred all the best in his treatment.
