Opening of Gordon Highlanders Museum

  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 15 December 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-02542

That the Parliament welcomes the opening of Gordon Highlanders Museum in Aberdeen; notes that this new exhibition offers what it sees as a unique opportunity to tell the stories of the Highland regiments, showing fragile items that might not otherwise be on display to conjure up the essence of what it was like to be a Highland soldier; applauds the fantastic work being done to showcase Scottish history and the Highland regiment, which includes a series of exhibitions over the next five years that will examine the culture and history of the Highlanders, and wishes all involved in the Museum the best for the future.
