To ask the Scottish Government whether the proposed Tenements (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill will include a statutory right for owners to install EV charging infrastructure on common ground to override any obsolete title burdens that prevent the delivery of net zero targets in existing flatted developments.
The Scottish Law Commission published its report on mandatory owners’ associations on 11 December 2025. I am grateful for the work that SLC took forward over the last 4 years. The Scottish Government will give SLC’s report careful consideration before determining next steps for the role and functions of the Compulsory Owners Association, which may include legislation.
