Question

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on when it plans to introduce a bill following its consultation, Adults with Incapacity Amendment Act.


Answer

A Bill to update and modernise the Adults with Incapacity Act is expected to be introduced during the 2024-25 parliamentary year. A consultation on proposed amendments ran between July and October 2024, with analysis of the responses due to be published later this month.
