Question
To ask the Scottish Government what plans the Citizens' Assembly of Scotland has to complete its work, in light of the COVID-19 crisis.
Answer
The work of the Citizen’s Assembly for Scotland was suspended at the outbreak of COVID-19 in March. The Convener will announce today that the Assembly will resume its activities in an online format from 12 August and intends to complete its work by the end of this year. The Assembly has a unique contribution to make in helping inform Scotland’s strategy for renewal after the current crisis, and I look forward to receiving its report and recommendations.
