To ask the Scottish Government how many people have type (a) 1 and (b) 2 diabetes, broken down by the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) ranking of where they live.
The Scottish Diabetes Survey (2015) shows that in Scotland there are 30,356 people living with Type 1 diabetes, and 250,881 with Type 2.
The Scottish Government does not hold centrally this data broken down by the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) ranking.
