Parliamentary Bureau Motions

The next item of business is consideration of three Parliamentary Bureau motions. I ask Joe FitzPatrick to move, en bloc, motions S5M-01570, on the office of the clerk, S5M-01572, on the designation of lead committees, and S5M-01573, on the variation of standing orders.

Motions moved,

That the Parliament agrees that, between 4 January 2017 and 31 January 2018, the Office of the Clerk will be open on all days except Saturdays and Sundays,14 and 17 April 2017, 1 May 2017, 26 and 29 May 2017, 15 September 2017, 1 December 2017, 22 December (pm), 25 and 26 December 2017 and 1 and 2 January 2018.

That the Parliament agrees that the Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee be designated as the lead committee to consider and report to the Parliament on the draft memorandum of understanding to be entered into by the UK Government, the Scottish Government, the Scottish Parliament and the Office of Communications (Ofcom).

That the Parliament agrees that, in relation to First Minister’s Questions on 29 September—

(i) in the first sentence of Rule 13.7.A1 “30 minutes” be replaced with “45 minutes”;

and

(ii) in Rule 13.6.2 “6” be replaced with “8”.—[Joe FitzPatrick]
