Convener
Item 2 is the choice of a new convener. I make it clear that, under the agreement, the new convener will be a member of the Scottish National Party.
I invite nominations for the post of convener of the committee.
I nominate my friend and colleague Bruce Crawford MSP to convene the committee for this session.
There are no further nominations.
Bruce Crawford was chosen as convener.
I thank members for their support, and I look forward to working with members and the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Constitution in the coming months. We have a lot of work ahead of us, and no doubt there will be significant challenges that we will have to take on. However, you will find that I will, as always, try to put the integrity of the committee to the fore.
Let us get on with the business in hand.
