Agenda item 2 is to choose a deputy convener of the committee. The Parliament has agreed that only members of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party are eligible for nomination. I invite a member of that party to nominate one of their number for the post.
I nominate John Scott.

At its next meeting on 12 September, the committee will take evidence from the Water Industry Commission for Scotland.
