Question

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will assess the role of incentive schemes to support primary care physicians to encourage (a) earlier diagnostics for coeliac disease to be prescribed, and (b) the examination of any person who may have been misdiagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome.

Answer

We do not hold information about incentive schemes for coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome centrally. We do not have plans to establish national incentive schemes at this time.
