Decision on Taking Business in Private

Welcome to the 7th meeting in 2019 of the Committee on the Scottish Government Handling of Harassment Complaints. I ask members to turn off any electronic devices that might interfere with proceedings.

The first item on our agenda is a decision on whether to take item 2 in private. Does the committee agree to take item 2, which is consideration of a letter from the permanent secretary, in private? The letter, which relates to records management and information technology, has been published online. We will, of course, move back into public to announce any decisions that are taken during that discussion.

Members indicated agreement.

I note that plenary business begins at 1.30 today. I can tell by your faces that some members had forgotten that. That means that we will have to be quite concise in dealing with our business today.
