I welcome everyone to the 22nd meeting in 2017 of the Education and Skills Committee. I remind everyone to turn mobile phones and other devices to silent for the duration of the meeting.
Apologies have been received from Oliver Mundell, and Michelle Ballantyne is substituting for him. As this is her first appearance before the committee, agenda item 1 is an opportunity for her to declare any relevant interests.
I am a sitting councillor on Scottish Borders Council. I also have involvement with voluntary sector children’s services supporting children with additional needs.
