Decisions on Taking Business in Private

Good morning. I warmly welcome everyone to the eighth meeting in 2019 of the Education and Skills Committee. I remind those present to turn their mobile phones to silent so that they do not disrupt the meeting. Apologies have been received from my colleague Gordon MacDonald.

Under agenda item 1, the committee is invited to decide whether to take item 3 in private. Do members agree to take that in private?

We also need to decide whether to consider in private at our next meeting our draft report on Scottish national standardised assessments and our approach to the subject choices inquiry. Are members content to take those items in private?
