Complaints are dealt with on a confidential basis, but please note that your name could be made available to the MSP that you are complaining about during the course of the complaint being investigated.

Should your complaint be referred to the Commissioner for Ethical Standards in Public Life in Scotland (the Ethical Standards Commissioner) or the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee, and it is sufficiently serious, then your name and full details of your complaint could also be published in a report.
