MSP staff

The Code of Conduct states that members are responsible for the behaviour of their staff when these individuals are acting in their capacity as the member’s employee. You may therefore wish to raise your complaint with the MSP employing the member of staff in the first instance.

However, if you consider the relevant MSP is aware of, and responsible for, the behaviour of a particular member of staff, you may wish to make a complaint under the Code of Conduct, as outlined in the Guide to making complaints about Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) section.

Depending on the nature of the complaint, please direct it to the relevant office as detailed in the Guide mentioned above, naming the member in question and the member of staff in question. If you are in doubt where a complaint should be directed, please contact Public Information:
