" The role of Security Vetting Administrator covers a wide variety of duties, including, but not limited to, ensuring that appropriate security clearance is in place for a variety of building users, issuing passes and ensuring each pass has appropriate access rights.
I love the diversity of people I meet on a daily basis and the variety of opportunity that working at Parliament offers; no day is the same. Working in the Pass Studio, I meet and build working relationships with everyone from contractors to Members and their staff. As a result, the Security Office Team have become ‘well known faces’ and are often called upon to give advice on the correct procedures for gaining access to the Parliament.
I most enjoy working as part of a committed, supportive and friendly team, and it is very rewarding to have contributed to ensuring building users are safe and secure. I know my role is important and this makes me feel very much a part of the Parliament”
Billy Halliday, Security Vetting Administrator
