These tests are standard care in the US to monitor the the growth of existing tumors and to detect new ones to determine the correct treatment and to monitor the outcome of that treatment. This rare disease is deadly requires me to have them every three months now. Scans and excellent treatment have kept me alive with metastatic liver cancer for three years. The people of Scotland deserve the same chances for surviving as long as possible with the proper standard of care, anything less in irresponsible and cruel.
