6 September 2011: The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 on the grounds that the Scottish Government has indicated that it is committed to ensuring the viability and future of dance teaching and coaching through a national centre of excellence and the continuing provision of support funding, Glasgow City Council have confirmed they are taking forward plans to build a new residential facility and are doing so in partnership with a parents’ committee and that the detail of the project and any changes made to residential arrangements are a matter for the local authority. Link to Official Report of 6 September 2011
