You can book or ask questions about school visits with the Education Service through our telephone enquiry line which is usually open between 09.00 and 16.00, Monday to Friday. Please call 0131 348 5401.
Alternatively you can submit an enquiry form.
We will contact you to confirm the details of your visit or to discuss what is available if we cannot accommodate your preferred date and time.
The programmes are very popular so please do try and have alternative dates / times to suggest if you can.
For all our visits, we welcome pupils with special education needs. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
If you are bringing a group to the Scottish Parliament and have to fill in a risk assessment, please see our Risk Assessment (23KB pdf) for further details which may help you.
There is no dedicated packed lunch facility. Occasionally a room may be available. Please check when booking.
Please see "How to find us" for information on how to get to the Scottish Parliament. This includes information about our coach drop and pick up arrangements which are nearby at Our Dynamic Earth.
Please note that if you arrive late, we will not be able to extend the time of your visit because of our full programme of visits. Please help us and other visiting schools by noting your timings and arriving at least 20 minutes before your session begins to allow time to come through security and to visit the toilets. You may wish to allow time to visit the shop and exhibition.
Other visiting options
We really hope that we will be able to arrange a visit for your school through the education service. However, there are other ways of visiting the Parliament through Visitor Services.
