The desk is made of oak and sycamore.

David Colwell of Trannon Furniture was commissioned to make a public information and reception desk for the Parliament after winning a limited design competition. Trannon Furniture are known for their pioneering approach to sustainable design and production in furniture making. The ripple design of the desk refers to the architecture of the Parliament building and also to the flow of people through the building. Oak and sycamore desk by David Cowell
