    Security measures at Parliament increased

    Following the decision to raise the security threat level to Critical, there will be additional security measures in place at Holyrood until further notice. 

    Staff and visitors should use the public entrance and please allow extra time to pass through security. While the Parliament remains open for business, all tours, events and educational visits have been cancelled. Please check ahead if attending for a meeting.

Open to the public 6 days a week, Scotland's Parliament sits at the foot of Edinburgh's Royal Mile by Holyrood Park and the Salisbury Crags.
