The National Trust for Scotland (Governance etc.) Bill Committee was established on 23 January 2013. The Committee’s main role was to consider and report on the Bill at Preliminary Stage, including giving preliminary consideration to any objections, and to scrutinise the Bill at Consideration Stage, including by giving further consideration to objections and debating any amendments lodged. No objections or amendments were lodged.
The parliamentary debate on the Final Stage of the Bill was held on 23 May 2013, when the Parliament passed the Bill.
The Bill received Royal Assent on 28 June 2013.
