About The Committee

The key role of the Sub-Committee is to consider and report on the operation of the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012 as it relates to policing. The 2012 Act established the Police Service of Scotland (“Police Scotland”) and the Scottish Police Authority, which is charged with oversight of Police Scotland.

Amongst matters of interest to the Sub-Committee in relation to policing are:

List: Governance and administration; Financial management; Local Policing; Investigation and complaints and On-going re-structuring in anticipation of changing needs and demands on the service.
